Governance and responsibility

adiuto is a non-commercial, public-interest initiative. Responsibility is deliberately divided: the platform team operates the service, initiative teams control their own work, and supporters control their commitments.

Platform responsibility

The adiuto team maintains the service, its security, the shared task catalogue, and the platform-wide rules. It reviews new initiatives where required and can restrict content or accounts when needed for safety, legality, or reliable operation.

The legally responsible service provider and current contact details are named in the legal notice. The privacy policy and terms of use are authoritative for use of the service.

Initiative responsibility

Each initiative controls its public profile, locations, needs, and team. Its administrators carry organisational responsibility on adiuto. Coordinators run day-to-day work; members receive only the access needed for participation.

An initiative must retain at least one administrator. Administrator responsibility is explicitly offered and accepted, and another administrator cannot silently remove it. This reduces the risk of unilateral takeover. See Members, roles, and announcements for the exact role model.

Initiatives are responsible for keeping their needs and public information accurate and for verifying people before granting team access.

Supporter responsibility

Supporters decide what they can genuinely provide. A committed mission is a real promise to an initiative, not a bookmark. Supporters remain responsible for cancelling promptly if they cannot fulfil it and for following the stated handover instructions.
